Warranty information for completed service

Service Warranty

Start with the invoice or service record

Warranty terms are not identical for every spring, cable, opener, door or installation. Different products carry different manufacturer terms, and the scope of workmanship depends on the work Mul-T-Door completed.

Your invoice, work order or written service record is the primary reference for the applicable warranty. It identifies the work performed, supplied components and any terms provided with the service.

If a problem appears related to completed work, contact Mul-T-Door promptly and avoid having another party alter the repaired area before it can be reviewed.

Information that helps us review a request

  • Customer name and service address.
  • Invoice or work-order number, if available.
  • Date and description of the original work.
  • Photos or video of the current issue.

Workmanship coverage

Workmanship coverage relates to the specific installation or repair work performed by Mul-T-Door. A reported issue must be inspected to determine whether it is connected to that completed work.

  • Limited to the work described in the service record.
  • Requires reasonable access for inspection.
  • Does not automatically include unrelated components.

Parts and manufacturer warranty

Parts may carry manufacturer warranty terms. Duration, exclusions, proof-of-purchase requirements, shipping, labour and available remedies vary by manufacturer and product.

  • Manufacturer terms control manufacturer coverage.
  • Replacement approval may require inspection.
  • Labour may be treated separately from the part.

What is usually outside warranty coverage

A final determination requires inspection and the applicable written terms. Exclusions may include normal wear, accident or impact, misuse or neglect, unrelated component failures, third-party changes, and environmental events such as water, fire, power events, extreme weather or pests.

How to request a warranty review

  • Contact Mul-T-Door with your name, phone number, service address and original service date.
  • Describe what changed and when; include photos, video and the invoice number when available.
  • Allow inspection of the door and comparison with the original service record.
  • Mul-T-Door will explain whether the issue falls within applicable coverage and the next step.

Important safety notice

Do not operate a garage door that appears unsafe, hangs unevenly, has a broken spring or cable, or has left the track. Stop using the opener and call for guidance.
